Upgrade your UT EID: Upgrading your UT EID allows you to conduct university business online. Many online services of The University of Texas at Austin are restricted and can only be accessed by those with upgraded UT EIDs. Is Your EID Already Upgraded? To verify whether your EID is already upgraded, go to the EID Self Help Tools and select "Upgrade My UT EID". How can I Upgrade my EID? You can upgrade your EID online or in person.
- I-9 Verification - The employee can complete their Form I-9 Section 1, 45 days prior to their start date and no later than their first day of work for pay. More info on how to complete section 1.
Things to do upon arrival on campus

New Employee Welcome and Orientation and New Faculty Symposium - New faculty are strongly encouraged to attend both. New Employee orientation covers insurance and retirement options.

Workday - Workday is the main HR web portal of UT Austin. You will have several onboarding tasks to complete. Please give priority to completing all onboarding tasks promptly.

UT Learn - UTLearn is The University of Texas at Austin’s employee learning management system. UTLearn provides employees greater autonomy in managing training, has dynamic searching, and integrates with Workday.

UT Austin Email Address - All UT Austin business must be conducted using a UT email. Sign up for a UT Austin email address with your UT EID.

UT ID Card - The ID Center is located on the first floor of the Flawn Academic Center (FAC). Valid photo ID (eg driver's license) required. The UT ID also serves as an electronic key for the after-hour building access. Free public transportation is available with the ID card.

Office Keys - Obtain a key reuquest from the front desk and visit to the LKS temporary trailer located ouside the CEE building on Speedway with a UT ID card, fully signed form to pick up your office key.

Telephone (Smart Voice) - Voicemail instructions. Each office has an office phone upon request only.

Activate and edit your CNS Math directory entry: this can be done once your appointment is active. Each CNS employee is responsible for keeping their directory on the math website up to date.
